The concept behind this piece is that the viewer can scrutinise other peoples bodies through the magnifying glass, however, the magnifying glass automatically crops the person being viewed, giving them the ideological perfect figure.

Questions if women restrict their bodies for the sake of attractiveness.  The eyepiece causes the wearer to glance to the side, thus forcing them to commit to the side glance courting gesture, therefore the piece makes the wearer more attractive to the opposite  sex.  However, the piece causes the wearer to have difficulty seeing, and hearing, all for  the sake of attractiveness, questioning if the wearer is stupid, or dumb, to do so.
